Subject: RE: [Leica] Old vs. new: Please help me decide.

I'd like to thank everyone who helped me with my decision either
with his comment on the LUG or by private e-mail.

I think I will look for a user M6. Having a light meter is such a big
advantage to me that it doesn't make sense to buy a less
expensive body without that feature. I know I would regret it as it
was the build-in meter which I missed the most on my M4-P. The
Leicameter MR4 I had wasn't a substitute really. My first lens will
be a Summicron 50mm again. This is the focal length which fits my
style best and many pictures I decided to keep in the past are
made with normal lenses from different brands. I will quickly add a
light wide-angle though and without any doubt I will develop a
severe case of noctiluxia nervosa in the not so far future.

I have been off the list for three years and I feel like coming home
again! Beeing on the LUG is like meeting at a warm camp-fire in
the evening.

best wishes

Stefan
