Hi Mike,

Rummaging through a drawer just now and found a Private View invite to the
David Hurn "Wales Black & White" exhibition at the Arnolfini Gallery in
Bristol... dated 12 March 1975. That was during my first year as a proper
freelancer. The illo on the reverse of the card was his famous "Coach Party,
Aberavon"... timeless!

Also today, "The Independent" newspaper carried an interview with HC-B and
included an attractive head & shoulders of Marilyn Monroe holding a glass
(bourbon?) on the film set of "The Misfits".
Apparently he now struggles around on two sticks. One of his quotes was that
he hasn't any time for artist photographers... "It's bullshit" and he
regards his own fame as a weight. He requoted de Gaulle who said,
"Photographers are like artillery-men. Aim properly, shoot quick and scram."

I'll do a photocopy and send it to you in the morning.

Cheers,

Ed Buziak / Publisher
