Hi All,

I had the oportunity to do a number of things with a Hexar RF last weekend.

1. I mounted all of my M lenses on it, all of them functioned flawlessly.
This little experiment included my DR Summicron and goggles, which aligned
perfectly and focused correctly throughout both ranges.

2. Shot a number of Provia F pictures through the M-Hexanon 50mm on my M6.
Again, flawless function. The lens is excellent wide open, especially in the
center, and produces a very nice look. I would not trade my Summicrons for
it, but would not feel at all sorry for myself if I only had the M-Hexanon
to work with. It is easily one of the best 50s I've shot.

I like the Hexar, and while I prefer the M6, am surprised with just how
fully compatible the camera and lenses are with the Leica system.
Personally, I would like to see a lower price, but must say I doubt the new
Cosina-R will be anything like the Hexar's equal in quality, fit, finish,
and durability.

Nice to see the revival of interest in rangefinder cameras in any case!
