About a year ago I purchased some CRIS adaptors. I haven't started
using them yet since I still have some mercury cells, but I did fit
one to my SL2 to see if it would fit OK, and pressing the battery test
switch to the same position (just slightly short of the test mark)
that a fresh mercury cell does. So it seems to be generating the
correct voltage.
