If you spend enough time in the wilderness in Alaska YOU WILL come in contact with rather large bear. And sooner or later you may be confronted with the situation that the bear would prefer your space...no matter what space you choose. You will then want every option available....and hopefully you and the bear will pass without harm (and in that order I might add). Just a thought Dave
