In response to some points I've heard from luggers: * First of all history shows us that intolerance of intolerance breeds more intolerance. Witness the perfect socialist model state of Yugoslavia. Serbs, Albanians, Montenegrans, Croatians Slovenians all living under ideal socialist brotherhood all wanted to kill each since 1919 and finally got the chance and did so. IE: Don't try to make things better you'll only make them worse. Further proof: I live in New York the capital of forced tolerance Fact is, MOST people around here can't stand each other. Despite all the social engineering and tolerance related propaganda ads on TV, Most Folks retreat to their ethnic enclaves after work and curse off just about everyone outside their particular clan. I think it's probably due at least in part because of the message of tolerance that's beat into them so constantly by government sources breeds cynicism within them.. Just yesterday the tensions flared when 4 policemen were acquitted of murdering an unarmed black man who was apparently minding his own business. Since I wasn't there I can't say how much of a role racism played but I think that putting 41 wad cutters into one unarmed guy is not the sort of thing the Duke would have approvved of! IE: cowardice... ** Ethnic slurs are peculiar to America. Nope Every nation has'em. They are usually reserved for the new guys or the guys who look funny, whoever they may be. In some parts of Europe, newcomer is anyone who hasn't been sitting on the particular square mile patch of land for more than 2000 years. In some parts of the world funny looking is anyone who doesn't look like his cousin. *** Also we should distinguish 4 distinct types of slurs Racist, Ethnic, Cultural and Cultural-Extended-Set. Using the term Racist when referring to any of the other three usually creates more problems than it solves. **** Finally: A true solution to the problem: Give every man a Browning High Power with 3 spare clips and the right to carry it concealed anywhere he wants except an airport courthouse, or democratic party fundraisers and I garauntee you that Racism will drop to near zero. Never underestimate the power of 240 million evenly distributed guns. ***** Finally a question: How many versions of the Summarit were produced? I count three; early version, TT&H and another one like the one my dad had stolen from him which has no hood pins, instead having a groove which was presumably used for a clip-on. Also were early Summiluxes directly evolved from Summarits to the point that some parts were interchangeable? Finally Is it true that There are filters that will allow reduced flare on the Summarit or other old lenses? Best Regards Javier
