If you've already checked to see if there's something stuck in the gears,
and there isn't, IGNORE all other advice and send it straight to Sherry -
after 24 years it deserves it! :-)

My trusty M5 (acquired in 1976) failed me.  The film advance lever felt
like the gears were not meshing.  Finally the lever froze.  The camera
is a no go.
I expect Sherry should be contacted but I thought you people might
prescribe a simple remedy.  (Please, no black tape).
