Subject: [Leica] OT: Voigtlander VC meter

I'm tempted to get a Voigtlander VC meter for use with my meterless
cameras, but have a question about its operation:

The meter has a small orange button you press to get a reading, for which
the diodes stay on for about 10 seconds. Does anyone know if the meter
reading is locked when the button is released (ala the Leica MR meters) or
does it read continously for the 10 second duration? It seems to me that a
meter that locked in a reading would make aiming the meter with the cameras
viewfinder useful, although a 10 second interval sounds a bit short.
