Subject: [Leica] Leica M5 Lens use

Bill Satterfield asked about an adapted 50 DR for an M5. AFAIK the only
lenses which should not be used with an M5 are collapsible and early 21
Super angulons and the first version 28's which foul the meter arm.

The mod done to fit the 50 DR is to remove the little locator pin from the
eyes. This locates in the corner of the top plate in other Ms the M5 is
taller so the pin hits the top plate. One should not remove the lens with
it set to the close range position and this pin prevents this.
