Thank you for an excellent review of Eastland's latest M book. The top plate
was brass on the M5, M4-2, and most of the M4-P production. When the M6 came
out, the M4-P then used the zinc composite M6 top plate. This camera can be
identified by its flush M6 style rangefinder windows and single pc flash
socket.
