Inferiority complex is a term that others use to clinically characterize you, whether they are wrong or right. Low self-esteem is a self-deposited judgment on oneself, usually used to excuse oneself from working harder or giving up a vice. But how can anyone on the LUG have an inferiority complex? People with inferiority complexes don't usually use Leicas -- or can't even afford them. And you can't get to the LUG without a $2000 Dell or Compaq or Mac. Anyone who can put that kind of C-notes together doesn't have time to think about low self-esteem. He or she is too busy working -- unless he or she is living off the old man's will. But folks like that aren't usually into Leicas. They play around in Bimini or seek shallow honors or useless luxuries they can afford. Maybe they might buy a gold-plated Anniversary Leica as a paperweight or conversation piece or just to show off how little they know about photography. BR
