Hello friends,

I have a near perfect user's M3 for sale. Here is the text I prepared for eBay
but, as usual, I thought that Luggers deserved to get this item before others.

Some details about this marvel

M3 DS serial #897XXX. It is a chrome one, of course. The double shot is not a
problem after 5 minutes. It is even an advantage: first the advance level is
smoother, second if you want to be unnoticed, you will double shot even with a
M6.

Good points

   Everything works perfectly...

   Everything is so smooth...

Excellent shutter. I even have the feeling it is the quietest of all Ms I
tried

   Standard (...1/60, 1/125, 1/250...) speeds progression

Good leatherette (though it's not the original one, looks like a M6 one)

Checked (I did not say CLAed) by Leica France. This body does not need a CLA
for now

Not heavily used. Previous owner(s) and repairer(s)  were careful. There is
still the wax seal with a raised D

Clear viewfinder, no fog, no separation, great contrast of the telemeter zone

   Extremely precise telemeter

X-Flash sync works (I did not try the bulb one)

   Self timer works

Defaults

Excellent telemeter but there is one small (a pin head) and, say, five tiny
(you have to look for them) dusts in the telemeter area. No fog, no fungus, no
separation

One very small (1 mm) ding on the top plate corner near the frame counter

One tiny (pin head) ding on the frame around the second telemeter windows,
one on the top plate edge above the electronic flash sync connector, one even
smaller on the top plate edge above the eyelet

Some very light marks of rubbing on the top plate maybe because of a
Leicameter use but lighter than usual in this case.

The usual marks near the lugs because of the strap (not included)

   No more flash connectors caps

Obvious but not ugly marks on the baseplate with a hardly visible beginning
of brassing at some places

A tiny (pin head) paint scratch on the pressure plate (where the upper film
perforations pass)

Some small paint scratches on the painted part of the back door

A rubbing mark (1.5 square mm) near the left (when you use the camera) lug

Classical paint scratches on the take-up spool

   That's all!

Price $950 plus shipping.

All the best,
