Subject: [Leica] Kodachrome Processing

Just an addendum to my earlier posting. I know that getting K25/64/200
processed using the mail is a risky and time consuming process. However,
many large cities in the USA have Kodak labs that will process the film in a
day or two. I drop my film off at the neighborhood Wolf Camera store. They
send it to a Kodak lab somewhere in the Chicagoland area, and I get my slides
back in 48-72 hours. That of course will not do for professionals who need
their processed E-6 film back in 6 hours or less, which is the norm for most
pro-labs in Chicago.

I have not used K25/K64 for travel photography yet. But I am driving to
Rapid City, South Dakota, next week, and then on to Yellowstone National
Park. It will be an 8-day 3500-mile road trip. I plan to shoot several
rolls of K25, along with the Velvia and Provia, over there. I will let you
folks know later this month how the trip turned out, and post some of the
slides on the web. I will be using my new M6 TTL and the 35mm Summicron ASPH
lens.
