Subject: [Leica] Summar Shade

Hi,

Someone enquired about trying to find an alternate shade for the
Summar. I have one of the originals (sorry it isn't for sale) but i
thought it'd be worth sending it's measurements, as it is quite
different from most of the others from the time. It's a curved
rectangular shape, with cutouts and is quite flared.

Measuring from the center axis on the front, it is about 6 and a half
cm horizontally and exactly 4 and a half vertically.
Measuring from the back of the shade (shade to lens) it is a square 4
and a half by 4 and a half cm.

Hope this helps somewhat, and best of luck!

Gary
