Subject: [Leica] Leica M, a book and a film

Can I thoroughly recommend the book 'Racconti fotografici' by Italian
photographer Vanni Calanca to fellow Luggers. The book, in Italian German
and English, is sponsored by Leica and I obtained mine through Leica UK at
£28. All the wonderful colour images in this coffee table book were shot
on an M6 with 21, 35 and 90mm Leica lenses and he is keen to point out that
'no filter of any type has ever been used'.

I was also interested in the fact that the film choice of Vanni Calanca is
Agfa RSX Professional which he uses in 50, 100 and 200 iso. This is a film
which I have never seriously considered, but the reproduction in the book
shows that it is a serious contender for M photography.

Well worth the money, and will sit happily on my book shelf!

Gerry
