What would happen if the lurkers stopped lurking? Would it shut us loud mouths
up? Probably get us going even louder!

In the early 70's I flew to New York to audition for Julliard in it's second
year as a theatre school.
It already had a long history as a top music school.
It's possible I popped a few too many tranquilizers for my interview with John Houseman.
I came out and the guy at the desk said it wasn't good I was in there for only
ten minutes the street mime from San Francisco earlier was in there for a whole
hour! Turned out he didn't even do the Shakespeare and got the position in the
school I was certainly going for. I was given much encouragement in my failure
notice often people drop out and you can jump in there. Robin Williams wasn't at
the school very long.
But i would have been eaten alive at that early age in New York and I stayed
safe and secure going to school in St. Louis. Did more theatre but then switched
to "Media."

And on my honeymoon in LA in 77 I sat a few tables away from Walter Matheau in
an Italian restaurant. He was pretty jovial i think he sat their every night!
Big as life! Was I star struck!
