Well, I learned a little trick from Kyle Cassidy's Leica Photo Course that
addressed the problem of airport x-rays and possible film fogging:

Never take film with you.
Never buy film at your destination.
Never put film in your Leica.

I have tried this and I have never had any shots ruined by airport x-rays.

That Cassidy is like a god to me.
