The "variable" magnification range finder was discussed with the LUG members
and Leica people at the last photokina. Mr Koelsch said there was not enough
room for this in the M6 rangefinder.
If others have enough room, there must be another reason. I guess it is
precision of the optics and that it is not only a viewfinder but also a
rangefinder
