Hi Dan,
Blow dust or bits off first,  breathe hard create fog on glass , pull
out soft cotton under shorts and rub clean gently in circular motion! 
Works every time clean as a whistle.

And for the uninitiated even the Leica tech's clean in this method. 
Well OK they don't pull out their under shorts. ;-)
