See, I think that's not true in these anti-corporate demos which is why I
used the phrase 'independent media'. On the Mayday demo a Sky crew was
attacked in MacDonalds. They left the photographers alone mainly but I got
one or two warnings to point my lenses elsewhere.

The problem is that 'Freelance journalist' has TWO words in it which will
get their goat: 

    freelance = lackey of whichever capitalist is currently paying you to
misrepresent the truth. It also tells them you are on your own.

    journalist = running dog of the mainstream media which as everyone knows
are all owned by sinister corporations and give pictures of rioters to the
police

Independent Media has the strong implication (check the search engines) of
independent v. capitalist.

I also happen to think it more accurately describes what i do personally,
since no-one pays me and I don't sell pictures to the newspapers, but that's
by-the-by.

NB If you say independent media also they can't say 'which one' because the
indy media are deliberately fragmented and disparate. If you say
'indymedia.com' you are pretty safe as anyone can post reports to their
site.
