Nope, it was in English.  The instructions were multilingual though.

More precisely (since I got out the box and have it in front of me):

Super Wide Heliar Aspherical 15 mm f:4,5
Voigtländer  (in their logo script, cool typeface)
Since 1756

And on the bottom in small letters next to the UPC:

Voigtländer GmbH . 38104 Braunschweig

And, still on the bottom of the box in really tiny letters encircling an
emblem best described as a ying and yan with pointed arrows...(I had to
get out my loupe to read this)

Der Grüne Punkt   (what the heck is this)

Then, the "CE" emblem.

So, is Voigtländer still in Brunswick?
