There are:
The German magazine ColorFoto is outstanding in terms of quality and
publishes a wide variety of beautifully reproduced images in each issue,
both pro and amatuer. I only wish I could read German! The top French
magazine is also of very high quality. I'm sure there are many others,
worldwide. They do make the US mags, with their cheap see-thru paper and
low quality printing, look pale in comparison. The British magazines are
generally, IMO, better quality paper/printing, but some often have articles
and tests with minimal, compressed information and depth. An exception is
the BJP (British Journal of Photography), an excellent weekly that I would
love to see become a more substantial monthly. Just my opinion - from my
experience from what is probably a very limited number of photo
magazines worldwide.
