Paul,

I don't really `test' any lenses, but having had a complete break from
photography for a few years, and then getting back into Leica recently with
an M6 & 35mm f2 ASPH, the `freshness' of my eyes meant that I was truly
stunned by the quality of the pictures I got back with this lens. Even with
family `snap-shots', other people are also amazed by that `Leica look'
contained within the pictures.
IMHO, the 35mm ASPH 'cron is an incredible lens. However, I'm not sure yet
if the 50mm 'lux is producing that extra edge, but I've only had it a few
weeks so far. Obviously it's all top-end stuff we're discussing here, but
I'm very focussed on getting the best I can, so money is slightly secondary
when determining the full optimum kit.
I know nothing of the technical side of these things, so is it the ASPH
making the difference?
I haven't seen the results from the 24mm ASPH I bought last week yet, so it
will be interesting to see if I get the same `wow' effect.

Matt.
