I'm going to try out the newly redesigned Tri-Elmar as a walking-around
lens.  Like you, I've noticed I'm rarely wide open when in my
wandering-around pics (shooting Supra 400), but I always seem to find
compositions that require another lens than the one I chose back at the
house.
