The color photo shows softer highlights, better gradations on the skin, and much more expressive eyes. The BW is harsh, has too bright a highlight on the face and makes the eyes look hard rather than deep. The thumbs are also overemphasized in the BW... Note: The larger face in the BW may influence why it's preferred by some people...
