Let's just hope that Leica gets their predictions for demand and thus
production of such new body right this time, or it will be the end of the
R alltogether ;-)

Pascal
--> We also must NOT discount the possibility
of the emergence of "something" between the
"amateur" Leicas and the "extreme" Leica M and R
series ... An hybrid lying somewhere between a
rangefinder and a "true" SLR, with "digital ready"
engineering for instance OR a non-German camera body ... !

--> What about a Minox made Leica using non-traditional
	materials and manufacturing technologies ?

--> A new, affordable higher performance short
zoom could also benefit Leica R sales, say something
akin to the Contax 28-85mm, for discussion purposes.
This could be marketed with special "bundle" R8 ...

	--> How about a monofocal 35mm f/2.5 or f/3.4 Leica C2
	fool-proof "family camera" with all-weather
	and fill-in flash capabilities ?
For alpine ski freaks, beach safe ... Pocketable !

--> How about a Digilux II with Leica designed lens
and integrated modem or cellular capabilities ?
Useable in very low EV lighting situations ...

--> How about a Leica brand "workstation TV camera"
with integrated microphone, with looks derived from
the Leica C1 ? "Also available in Stealth Black".

--> How about a smallish DV camescope with Leica lens
and Microtech Gefell designed integrated microphone?

--> How about a more sophisticated TTL electronic flash
system, far more compact, with bounce capability as a
	minimum design consideration ?
