When I asked about an M6 baseplate, it only took a month for them to get back to me.  Maybe they want you to come to New Jersey and hang out near the service office, the same way you'd attend a Delphic oracle.

I wonder why they don't answer those emails sooner - parts must be a big business for them, since a baseplate (if I remember) was $264.

A lot of folks, myself include, are telephone-phobic.  Leica ought to
answer their e-mails.
