Hi Ken,

I find holding M's vertically with the shutter up to work best.  This way,
the camera is stabilised quite well with the back resting against my
forehead and my glasses or eyebrow up against the viewfinder.  The
rangefinder window tends not to get blocked.

If holding with the shutter down, there's less contact between the camera
with face and hands and I find it to be too shaky, and the blocked
rangefinder window problem happens.
 
With the R6.2 I've found holding the camera shutter down to work well if
also using a softy.  A very gentle release can be achieved by pressing the
softy with the flat of the thumb and with fingers squeezing from the other
side. Because the viewfinder is centered it remains possible to get some
additional stability from eyebrow or glasses contact.

Works for me.
