You and me both. With the prices that Leica cameras command, I don't see why not each and every camera couldn't be custom built to the purchaser's specification, given that they're hand built. If you want an M6 with black paint finish, M3-style film advance crank, M6-style rewind crank, and a chrome-coloured shutter speed dial, you should be able to get this for the standard price (perhaps just have to wait for it, since it's not an off-the-shelf item). Leica is right smack inbetween markets at the moment: they haven't got a clue how to market themselves, or how to profile themselves against other camera manufacturers. Fascination and precision doesn't cut it, I'm afraid.
