Hi Terry,

Sorry to hear about the trunk lid being popped from inside the car. In modern
vehicles this feature can be a blessing, however, it can be a nightmare if we're
not careful when putting gear in the trunk. And putting gear in the trunk out in
the open, particularly in a public parking lot, hospital, shopping centre or
otherwise, is an absolute no-no!  Prying eyes are always on the look out for
just this kind of activity.

In case some of you have forgotten, there is a switch in the trunk that disables
this drivers side mechanism and  at times of having gear in the car it's a very
good idea to have it disabled.

I realize this doesn't help Terry's dad, however it may save some of you from
great loss in the future. It's a very important item when "valet parking" or
leaving ones vehicle in an off the beaten path.
