I shot a wedding a couple of weeks ago. I got the outside-the-Church shots
on PJ400 with a mix of a 1.4/35 Summilux, 1.4/50 Summilux, and a 1.5/7.5cm
CZJ Biotar T (a grand lens, and only three are known in LTM -- I am
probably the first person in a decade to shoot with one of these!). Then I
did the reception, with TMZ at 1200 ASA solely with the 35mm Summilux -- as
I knew it would be in cramped quarters. I did this as an accomodation to
the bride, as I have known her since she was 14; there was a pro there
with the customary Hasselblad mit der grosser blitzgeraet und Stroboframe
stuck und so weiter. The bride's family and the groom hammered me for a
set of prints, and they got them, gratis -- and will get further prints for
them, as well, as the 1.4/35 b&w shots came out perfectly.

I rarely shoot with anything wider than a 50mm lens but, in that crowded
venue, a 35mm lens was the perfect choice, and TMZ the perfect film.

And, the crowning part of the day was that I got a tremendous shot of my
mother sitting on the church steps, looking all the world like a Bag Lady.
Everyone who knows her is most impressed: it was a picture which came out
perfectly. Even Mom thinks it is great. But, then, that was that 7.5cm
Biotar. Zeiss again! (How do we spell optics? Z-E-I-S-S, I keep trying
to tell you guys! Leica is adequate, but Zeiss is magnificent.)
