Subject: [Leica] warning to AOL users

I installed AOL 6 tonight to check it out, and I find that it does not
have the ability to send plain text email.

This means that if you are an AOL user, and you upgrade to AOL 6, you
will not be able to send mail to the LUG. You will have no problem
receiving mail from the LUG, you just won't be able to send.

This is the first example I've ever seen of an email system that cannot
send plaintext mail. I hope it's not the beginning of a trend, and I
hope that AOL mends its ways. There are deep technical reasons why
requiring plaintext mail on something like the LUG is a good idea.
