I've heard this claim as well from a number of credible places. I've only 
ever used my (Leitz version Summicron-C) 40/2 on my M5 and my CL. In MY 
case, it works great with both cameras with no inaccuracy in focus.

I haven't tried it on other M cameras or tried any summi-c lens but my own 
on these bodies.
