I've been using XP2 almost exclusively for B&W for the past 6 months. A few rolls of TMax 3200 or Agfa 25. A strange roll of Ilford 100 once. A couple rolls of TCN and XP2 to begin with. I prefer XP2 over TCN. I'm not really sure why. :) As for XP2 vs. silver halide films, XP2 generally has less contrast. And extremely fine grain. Comparable to Agfa 25. Hard to tell the difference. I've been using XP2 because it's easier to get consistent results when you're not souping the film yourself.
