Mine is a new version, built-in shade still under passport warranty. It is
more stiff than my other M lenses but is it twice as massive as well. There
is a lot of stuff to move, big helical, etc. The stiffness in mine is not
overly so. It is still very easy to focus quickly. Or is it quick to focus
easily?
