Hmmm, I've always seen Sherman's stuff as in part a knowing send-up of the
very self-indulgence you refer to. Her pictures mostly make me chuckle,
though some of the grotesques are genuinely disturbing.

Yes indeed. Your Day In Our Life series is outstanding IMO. :-)
