Hello,
I'm a new member of LUG and wish all a great New Year and new millenium.

My name is Randy Shafer and I work as a professional photographer for a major
auto parts maker. My duties include portraiture, project and technical
photography, architecutural, digital and motorsports work. I work in most
formats including digital, 35mm, medium and large.

My Leica is the M4-P with a non-asph 50mm Summilux and the asph 35mm
Summilux. I use the Leica mainly for covering customer visits indoors
where I need to move around quietly and discretely, and without flash. The
camera has replaced a Nikon F5 in this role with exceptional results.
(Except often Japanese visitors want to look at the Leica.)

I looked at the user group for several weeks and was pleased to see the name
Leica mentioned so often without the attending attacks and flames from
non-Leica owners. Apparently members of the LUG don't need to spend most of
their time as Leitz apologists and can concentrate on more important
discussions.

It will be a pleasant change......
