Bid on a Canon F-1 (the Lake Placid model, ie. the second version of the old F-1 -- completely mechanical, with mirror lockup). Got it for about $180, with 50mm, which I take it is a good deal. Now I have to know: how about those FD lenses? Which ones are good, and how do they compare in general to Leica, to Canon LTM, to new Canon stuff? I take it they're much more Leica-like than Zeiss-like... Anyway, I'd love to hear from LUGgers who've used both systems. Douglas Cooper http://www.dysmedia.com
