Subject: [Leica] Yet another LTM -> M adapter question
From: William Gower <w.gower@home.com>

I am wondering:

When using an LTM lens with a LTM -> M adapter, is the DOF scale always at
the 1 to 2 o'clock position ?

I expected that the DOF scale would have lined up perfectly with the little
dimple on the adapter, rather than being off by 25 degrees or so.

Or is this why the damn thing won't focus to infinity ?

Someone must have though to cut the treads on the adapter so that when the
lens is perfectly seated, the "top" of the lens (DOF scale) coinsides with
the dimple on the adapter, and when mounted on the body - vola ! -
everything lines up just like a M mount lens.

Right ?

Or is this poor CCCP workmanship ?

What are the Voigtlander lenses like ??

Thanks

William
