My Pre ASPH 35F2 #26198xx measures 180g, no hood/caps ( the one I have
called Mr Bokeh)
My ASPH 35/2 measures 255g no hood/caps

Richard Wasserman measured his 35/1.4 ASPH at 322.7g with hood... Figure
20g for the hood... 300g or so for the lens alone...

This data is measured, not read from some
marketing written word......

Now a perspective.......
A roll of 36 exp TMAX 100 film weighs 22g

Relatively speaking, the weights are as follows.....

Summicron 35/2 pre ASPH.... 180g, the reference weight
Summicron 35/2 ASPH........ plus 3 rolls of film
Summilux 35/1.4 ASPH....... plus 6 rolls of film

I don't think that the difference in weight is really significant, when
shown in terms of additional film carried..... then again, I rarely carry
film all day around my neck.....!!
