That is Stanley Marsh, III and his Cadillac Ranch is west of Amarillo. Use
any search engine and put in his name and you will find several web pages
about him. I was involved in a law suit representing him in the early 80's
where, due to an old deed dividing the minerals into "oil" and "gas" and
each going to different families, without a definition of what constituted
each (Marsh's owned the "oil" rights, we were trying to prove that
liquified gas coming out of well was "oil." I testified as an expert on
oil and gas law in front of the old FPC (Federal Power Commission).
Interesting case. We didn't come out so well as I recall. Interesting
case and interesting family. When Washington DC I took pictures with my
first M3.
