HCB & DDD

The shame of this situation is, these two "once brilliant lights" to many of
us as we grew up in photography are now acting somewhat like a couple of old
athletes playing beyond their prime.

It's not only a case of the body not being as quick as the spirit, their
spirit internally maybe bright in their minds, but then their minds have
also lost the photo sharpness they once had . This note is not meant
to be disrespectful of either as I have always admired their work.
DDD was my idol in the days of Korea as a photojournalist.

But there truly comes a time when, "time catches up with your body and
brain" and to fail not to recognize that, is in itself a shame to go on
trying to be what you once were!

In other words don't play hockey if you can't go into the corner with the
young guys and not come out with the puck, leaving them lying on the ice
wondering... "who was the old fart?" :-)

And no matter what you think you are, if you can't apply these three
elements to what you once did as a champion . Then one should hang up their
camera and live on past glories!

          CONCENTRATE--CONSISTENT-- CREDIBILITY--

Without these functioning fully in the photography one does.... lie down and
die!
