Hard to buy? Yes, they cost a lot of money.

My dealer also says they're very hard to get.

Yet he sold me one two weeks ago with a with a good discount on the 
current price, both of us knowing that the list price here will go up 
by about 20% in a few days' time. He also took two lenses and some 
other odds and ends I never used in exchange.

From this I conclude:

- - they are not hard to buy if you have enough stuff to get rid of, and

- - they are not hard to get, otherwise they would not be discounted.
