Julian I had the same problem with my M6TTL - I went through 3 batteries in less than 2 months! A quick search of the LUG archives threw up a possible solution. There are two test contacts in the bottom of the battery compartment, under the main battery contact - I cut a small piece of black tape and placed it over these contacts.
