Erwin, however great and worthy of respect your knowledge of Leicas may
be, your slighting comment in regard to Mr. Reagan was inappropriate. I
don't believe it's any more fitting for you to make such comments about
American leaders than it would be for me to make slighting comments
about the prime minister of the Netherlands.

Through his policies and actions as president, Mr. Reagan restored the
confidence of the American people, brought about the downfall of the
Iron Curtain, and led this country out of the malaise of the Carter
years into an unprecedented period of economic growth.
