J,

Forgive my snippishnish - I was just afraid we were in for another RF flare
war, and we've been through that already!

RF patch flare is indeed a problem with the M6 - both of mine (0.72 and
0.58) suffer from it. The "quick fix" solution is so simple, however, that
the best way to deal with it seems to be Ted's method: change position and
keep shooting. Ironically, some folk feel the best way to deal with RF
flare (and other deficiencies of Leica gear) is to complain about it
ceaselessly here on the Lug.

The RF flare wars we've had here on the Lug in the past have all proven
inconclusive; if I recall, no real explanation for it was ever given, and
apparently no mechanical remedy exists. It would thus behoove us to: "deal
with it and move on."
