[Leica] slide storage

In response to different storage systems, I thought I would share me 
experiences with this ongoing challenge and the various issues it involves. 
For many years I favored archival slide pages and stored them in growing 
metal file cabinets.  This allowed faster retrieval in search of a certain 
slide but a hassle if I wanted to enjoy viewing a few hundred slides with a 
stack loader on my projector.  Taking the slides out of the pages and 
reinserting them after projecting became a deterrent to projecting the 
slides.  Instead, I would flip pages on the lightbox and use my lope to 
enjoy the slides.  I have finally decided-FOR ME-I wanted to enjoy my slides 
projected on a large screen and revisit my many travels on this planet more 
frequently.  Especially with 30 years of extensive slides. And no guarantee 
what happens to them when we leave this planet.

I reorganized, and hopefully this is final, into Light Impression archival 
boxes-approx 200 slides per box and culled out a best file box for each 
country-city or topic, etc.

This takes much less storage area and with proper identification on the 
boxes less of a hassle with the file draws full of slides.  This way I'm 
doing what I enjoy most about photography, viewing my slides on a large 
screen as quickly as I wish from box to the stack loader.  And the stack 
loader is a blessing for this process.  Again, just one persons way of 
dealing with this issue and really enjoying the quality of the lens we use.
