I should add that Air Mail from UK - Canada can be pretty quick for the good
old Post Office (of either country).

I often get packages from my parents going from deepest Sussex to sub-arctic
Yellowknife in 6 or 7 days - which is faster than anything that comes from
Toronto (or even, oft times, Edmonton) or the US.
