Your pics shouldn't intrude much on the sale of "official" wedding photos.  You missed the posed formals, fer gosh sake!  Your photos should be complementary to the "real" ones, and if it takes away some of the sales of the official photog, well that's life in the big city.  You have no ethical responsibility to ensure his sales.

I shot weddings for about 10 years, and if some longhaired amateur took away my sales I took it as a commentary on my abilities and my customers' lack of taste, not the amateurs' ethics (cause we all accepted that they didn't have any :-)

And FWIW, Brian's point was a good one.  Your pictures, good as they are (and they're very very good), do not fulfill the function of "real" wedding pictures, at least as far as Aunt Maude and Uncle Morty are concerned.
