Leica Minolta CL is the same camera with a different badge,
and thus can be found somewhat cheaper. I think the only
difference in the Summicron C 40mm and the Rokkar C 40mm is
the pitch of the filter thread.

I agree with ctrentelman, My Leica CL meter was off a
little bit, even with mercury batteries. I just adjust my
ASA dial to compensate. The shorter distance of the
rangefinder to viewfinder window causes inaccuracy at wide
open apertures on longer lenses. (that's the reason the
90mmC is an f4, I think)

with the M series...

Read Stephen Gandy's profile on this:

I use a 35 summicron on mine all the time, and have no
problem with it. This picture was shot with the Leica CL
and 35mm Summicron.
http://www.sonc.com/street_shooting.htm Focus in low light
is dicey with my 90mm tele-elmarit.

To sum up. I made a terrific buy on this camera, and I've
been pleased with it. It is not the equivilant of my M6,
but who cares? It is light, small, and works good. One
note, they're susceptible to dings on the winder side
because of the strap lugs on the other end. Everytime you
pick it up by the strap, it goes "thunk" I put a little bit
of safety tread rubber on that edge, and it stopped that.
Helps make your camera look more like a junker that no one
wants to steal, too.
